Be Happy! Happiness Is Just A Matter Of Mind
Be happy, happiness is just a matter of mind that can be achieved through simple changes in our thoughts and behaviors. This page provides tips and advice for individuals looking to find happiness and improve their overall well-being.
Be happy happiness is just a matter of mind
Although enjoying nature, family, and other human-made things can bring endless joy, many people still feel unhappy. Advanced nations have access to both natural and manufactured resources, which is indeed a great blessing, yet many people in these countries remain dejected. Conversely, in developing countries, where many lack even basic necessities, people often appear happier. Some individuals find happiness even while facing challenging tasks, participating in battles, or being incarcerated. We have recently explored various factors that influence happiness. Despite having these factors, millions remain unhappy, while others find contentment without them.
You could understand that having access to and an abundance of both God-given and human-made items is insufficient. There is something else that must be right for you to be happy. Of course, it’s our ideas that need to be fulfilled and have the right attitude towards.
Milton expresses in *Paradise Lost* that
“The mind can create its own heaven or hell.”
There are many examples of how our thoughts can affect our bodies:
Pavlov’s dog starts to salivate at the sound of the bell, even without food present.
We regularly get headaches, backaches, spondylitis, and other physical ailments when we are worried.
Anxiety and worry are strongly associated with heart attacks.
Many physical diseases can be cured with the right mental attitude.
We may achieve happiness and success by motivating ourselves and having a positive mindset.
One could control somebody else’s ideas and frame of mind through hypnosis.
Meditation can help you maintain a healthy frame and improve your sensory abilities.
The mind has remarkable abilities, especially when it comes to determining happiness. Therefore, it’s crucial to maintain a positive outlook on life. We should focus on the positive attributes in people and situations instead of fixating on the negatives. Instead of dwelling on past mistakes and bad experiences, we should use our past successes and positive memories to motivate us. Similarly, we shouldn’t worry too much about the future since excessive worry isn’t always helpful. However, we still need to plan and work diligently towards our future goals.
As a final note
In certain situations, you might never be entirely devoid of both divine happiness and satisfaction from human achievements. It is impossible to be completely stripped of nature and all man-made objects. Even if everything else is taken away, family and friends remain. Your cherished body is still with you. Moreover, your thoughts are free even if you are confined in a dungeon with heavy chains. You have the freedom to find joy within your own mind. While controlling the mind on your own can be challenging, it remains unconquerable by any person, power, or circumstance.
Abraham Lincoln wisely remarked, “Most parents are about as happy as they decide to be.”
